The Unicam systems help to improve environment quality and noise problems with traffic in towns

Air quality and noise pollution in towns are nowadays much discussed topics. European and national legal regulations set noise and emission limits in towns. Traffic is a significant problem for air quality and lorry traffic in towns is the main problem. The problems have become very serious and they slow down the economic development of town agglomerations. This situation is a serious obstacle in planning and the construction of housing estates and industry zones. The decrease of vehicle speed can contribute to noise and emission decrease to a more suitable level. Section control is a very effective solution demanding speed adherence in the sections.

The section control system UnicamVELOCITY distinctively calms traffic

To demonstrate the impact of Unicam camera systems we show a diagram of section control. In all places where Unicam is installed a distinct decrease of fast traveling vehicles was monitored. Proportionally the noise and emissions have also decreased.
 
 
The diagram shows the speed violation decrease in Zlín, tř. T. Bati in the first three months since the installation - A 55% DECREASE in the time period. The system had no distinct impact on vehicles traveling within the speed limit. Furthermore no serious traffic accident occurred.
 
 
The diagram shows a decrease in the number of vehicles violating the speed limit in Ústí nad Labem, Masarykova Street, towards Všebořice, in the term of more than half a year since the system installation. The diagram shows a number of vehicles violating the  speed limit by more than 10 km/h - A 50% DECREASE in the time period .
