Stolen/Wanted Vehicles Search - UnicamSCAN

This function allows automatic license plates recognition of all vehicles passing in front of the Unicam cameras. Access to the data is protected with a password and all the data transfers are encrypted. This function is restricted for police use only.
The following functions can be used:

Stolen vehicles - text form of all automatically read license plates are compared on-line to the official version of the police database of stolen vehicles. If the license plate is found in the database, an alarm is raised. The daily database updates are automatic.

 

Vehicles of interest – text form of all automatically read license plates are compared on-line to the local database of wanted vehicles. This local database can be filled by an operator. If the license plate is found in the database, the event is recorded and an alarm is invoked.

 

Current traffic - for each automatically read license plate, its text form and its picture (for possible verification) is immediately displayed to the operator.

 

Vehicle passage survey – all automatically read license plates (text form and picture) are saved to the database for future use. It is also immediately displayed to the operator. The operator can then search in the database by using different queries (time, location,  etc.).
